April 17, 2013: A Spooky Adventure
On a dark, clear night, in the middle of a thick, luminous forest sat an old house all alone. The house itself stood tall, at least two stories, maybe three, but the top seemed to get lost in the trees. It was strategically placed in the only clearing in the forest but covered the entire open area so that if someone walked out of the trees they were immadiately faced with the house. With vines growing all around and the way it creaked even when the wind gently blew, gave away its true age. Inside the house resembled much of the outside, a thick layer of dust covered everything in the house. A brave soul ventured into the forest late one night and stumbled upon this house. He was not intimidated by the creepiness that seemed to surround thse house so he walked inside. As he wandered through the house, he stumbled into the kitchen and was surprised to find a working refrigerator. It was the only thing in the house that even remotely resembled modern technology and it barely did, being the oldest working refrigerator the boy had ever seen. He walked over to open it up and found it full of fresh, pretty carrots. They were nicely stacked on top of one another. Because he thought he was alone and perhaps somewhat to do with his nosy stomach, he grabbed one from the top shelf. Thunder boomed and lightning struck, it was as if the world had just come alive. Before him appeared a massive ghost. The ghost could not believe the boy had stolen his carrot. The boy was so startled by the entire thing that he ropped the carrot and ran out of the house, never to return again.
