Apples and oranges are both fruits that most people eat. They both have a skin, although the texture and thickness of the skin is different. The skin of an apple is thin and satiny with a smooth texture while an orange's skin is thick and smooth but with little holes.
Apples are red, green or yellow and oranges are orange. Oranges only come in one color. Apples have little "stands" on their bottom to help them sit perfectly on a counter whereas an orange is completely rounded. Apples have stems and oranges typically do not when they are purchased. Also, apples can either be peeled or eaten with the skin but oranges are normally peeled before consumption.
An apple doesn't have much flavor to me; red apples are kind of sweet but the skin makes it a little sour. However, yellow and green apples are quite tart with or without the peel. Oranges are sweet when they are ripe but can be a little sour if they were picked early.
